Jekka Stockman (verified owner) –
Heather’s Fairy Garden workshop is a whimsical experience that guides us through the technical aspects of fairy garden building while encouraging individual artistry to assemble gardens unique to each creator.
Her in-depth lessons guide us through the entire process, from highlighting the best container types – hint: you can use almost anything with the proper modifications! – to giving us an overview of which plants thrive well together. Each lesson contains clear guidelines for the participant as well as videos or links to outside sources to illustrate the finer aspects of what is needed to complete each task. This guide can be used for all ages and teaches us lessons that can be applied beautifully to our broad scale butterfly garden and our tiny windowsill tea cup. I love that I can easily apply Heather’s principles in Fairy Garden building with my children in our backyard as well as plan out a garden assembling day with our local nature co-op with toodlers through teenagers enjoying their creations.
My only regret at the end is that I can’t fly out to her backyard and take the physical workshop I see happening in her videos.
