Many years ago, when @rebecca.woodie.designs was little we did a unit study on Betsy Ross and combined it with her American girl doll, Felicity. 💙 🇺🇲

We read about how Felicity was able to sew twenty stitches to the inch. 🧵

We tried it. She tried seeing how many stitches she could sew by hand in an inch and how many the standard settings on a machine could sew in an inch. 🧵🪡

Felicity won. 💙

Fast forward all these years later and Rebecca is a senior Fiber Science and Apparel Design student at Cornell University. She's hand sewing on one of her twelve senior designs for this year's runway show. 💙

Homeschooling creative teens means starting with creativity and building out from there, poring into their talents through a customized high school. 💙

Rebecca's experiences in the high school years built her portfolio and prepared it for admission to a small Ivy League design program where she is thriving. 💙
