As 2015 comes to a close, I thought it would be fun to share Reader Favorites from the year. I’ve made some annotations about each of the posts so that if you missed a post, you can catch the summary and click in if you’d like. Some of these are not posts from 2015, but they are reader all time favorites showing up on this year’s list.

100 Books You Should Read by the Time You Turn 20– My teens came up with this list in the fall of 2014 and it has been the most popular post of all time on Blog, She Wrote. By teens, for teens and adults it’s never too late to read the ones you’ve missed! Don’t forget to subscribe for an eBook which includes details about the books and the list along with a printable list of the 100 books.
Best Educational You Tube Channels for Homeschoolers– While this is not an exhaustive list of You Tube channels which work for homeschooling, it is a list of the favorites I’ve come across so far. This year, I’d like to do some new You Tube lists for various subject areas and ages.
Comparing the Accuracy of Liquid Measurement Tools– I love this post because it is a reflection of my professional roots as a science educator. When I wrote it, I had no idea it would become as popular as it is. As a result, I plan to write more science lesson posts this year.
Life of Fred Homeschool Math– This post from 2013 is as popular as ever. I’ve since updated the post a few times to add in the books our high school senior has completed since I initially wrote it. It’s a great look at how we use Fred and how we are successful in using it at all levels of math.
Top 10 Toys for Open Ended Play– Toys that last are the best. Don’t you think? This is a list of the toys in our home which have had the most play and continue to get play. Just last week several of our kids were building with our planks.
Organizing Your Homeschool Library– How to store and organize all the books in your home library so that they are accessible to your kids.
The Ultimate Guide to Establishing a Reading Culture in Your Home– Details and ideas on how to priortize reading in your home and lifestyle to make readers.
Should My Homeschooled Teen Get a Part Time Job– This is a popular post. I was surprised at the reaction of my some of my peers when we chose to let our 15yo get a part time job at a local grocery store. This post covers the impact of teens and jobs. This year I’d like to write a post about how your teen manages his schedule with a job.
